I am a lifelong area resident, wife, and mother of two children in our district schools. During "covid" restrictions and life changes, I began to have an eye opening about the way our schools are really run, and had major life changes including a stroke at age 39, which lead to making the decision to leave my career to focus on raising my family as a stay-at-home mom for now. Thankfully, good management of our resources had us ready financially for a change, as we had several rental properties to supplement our income, which I personally manage and maintain. As a result of rearranging our lives as we felt God leading, everyone in the family is happier and more fulfilled. I live on a small plot of land by the creek in Upper Mifflin township where we enjoy raising chickens, goats and rabbits. We attend a local BIC church where we love working with and being a part of our church family. I enjoy spending time with family, traveling, boating, kayaking, skiing, gardening, hunting and riding ATVS at our family cabin. I am a lifelong learner, and enjoy reading to learn more about lots of things, enabling us to DIY most of our projects.

I began to feel God's urging to run for the school board, and took the step to commit and get my name on the Republican ballot, knowing that if God has called me to do it, I will obey, and see the blessings resulting from obedience as I have before. After attending board meetings, our current board seems to prefer a unanimous head nod to agree with everything the administration recommends. I know that this will lead our district in the wrong direction over time and is not how a good school is run. The board needs to carefully consider and debate each decision using discernment and wisdom attained through knowledge of the issue at hand. Satisfaction with the status quo while happily raising the real estate tax rate annually has to stop. I plan to scrutinize every dollar spent, and expect measurable results in the education of our children. Currently our PSSA scores are embarrassing, and we spend more per student than many area schools. We cannot allow our children to fall through the cracks as administration makes excuses. When the board joins in the belief that our students' achievements are limited, it is time for a change. The children are our community's future, and they each deserve to be able to read, write, and understand math. Social and emotional learning is the primary job of families, not the school. Parents have a right to know what is being taught, need transparency and choice to opt out of topics or subjects contrary to their beliefs. All children deserve individual respect and the right to be free of sexualization, bullying from all sources, and privacy. We need to cling to our rights given by God and guaranteed by the Constitution now, so I am stepping up to be an advocate for all the "Bulldogs". I will stand for truth and decency and lead as I seek God's will.
