Question Response Comments/Notes
1. Providing state tax credits and education savings accounts to enable parents to choose what school their child attends. S* All children deserve the best education possible and I believe offering these options helps with choice and accountability.
2. Reserving girls’ sports exclusively for biological females. S* Science is based on facts not social constructs and that is what we should be teaching our children.
3. Separating restrooms, locker rooms, and other privacy areas based on biological sex. S
4. Permitting students to discuss their Christian faith with others during non-class time on school premises. S* Like all other clubs that are allowed on school property, Christian clubs should be allowed.
5. Allowing school personnel to refer students to abortion providers. O* Students are minors and parental rights need honored.
6. Requiring signed permission (opt-in) from a parent before a student may participate in sex education classes or presentations on gender identity theory. S* I believe more transparency is needed throughout the education process. I believe in opt-in rather than opt-out for all school related surveys and non academic instruction. Parents should be able to view all curriculum and surveys before deciding to opt-in.
7. Increasing transparency by requiring videos or documents shown to students [which are not part of pre-approved curriculum] be preserved for easy review by administrator and parents S* This is vital and policies need to change and be clear to make this easy for parents and guardians. This should also apply to all digital content.
8. Providing curricula that advocates critical race theory and its emphasis on defining people as oppressors or oppressed based on group identity or privileges. O* Our country was not founded on systematic racism and we need to make sure our children are taught true history. DEI is not diversity, equity and inclusion. It is Division, Exclusion and Indoctrination and it needs to go.
9. Requiring teachers to use "she" to describe a biological male student who identifies as a female, even if the teacher offered a reasonable alternative. O* There needs to be clear school policy written. I believe unless a student is under the medical care of a doctor and psychologist that is documented for a pre-determined time and is transitioning and approved by the parents, this should never be required.
10. Specifying in school policy that materials containing visual depictions of people engaging in sex acts or explicit written descriptions of people engaging in sex acts is not age-appropriate for the school’s curriculum and libraries. S
