1. Should education funding be directed to families through a voucher, scholarship, or education savings account so that parents can send their children to the school of their choice, including non-public schools? Y* I believe that there is a way to support public schools and fund the student simultaneously. It does not have to be one or the other. We need to provide options that work for each individual child and offer the best fit for them.
2. Should marijuana be legalized for recreational use? U
3. Should the Pennsylvania Human Relations Act be amended to include “sexual orientation” and “gender identity,” which would require public schools and other public facilities to open up restrooms and locker rooms to members of the opposite sex? N* This is not in the best interest of all children’s privacy and safety. I believe offering private restroom facilities is an option to consider that allows for freedom of choice and respects all values and belief systems.
4. Should Pennsylvania enter into the Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative, which would include a new carbon tax on electricity producers? N* We are at a time in history where our economy is in danger. Pennsylvania has a unique opportunity to be a leader in our nation and with this comes the ability to expanding on utilizing our own natural resources and continuing to find better and environmentally conscious ways to do so while improving on our renewable resources. I believe there is room for both to be done successfully and with respect to the environment.
5. Should increases in state government spending be limited to the rate of inflation plus population growth? Y
6. Should our state constitution be amended to prevent taxpayer funding for elective abortions? Y
7. Should all voters be required to show identification before voting? Y* It’s a common sense approach.
8. Should the state reduce police funding to increase funding for social services? N
9. Should public schools be prohibited from allowing males who identify as females to compete in girls’ sports? Y
10. Should schools have to post curriculum online for review by parents and taxpayers? Y* I believe that parents and schools working together with full transparency only enhances and improves the learning experience for our children.
11. Should Pennsylvania municipalities be permitted to require a vaccine passport? N* I believe that vaccines should remain a personal choice. No government should force a person to receive a vaccine to keep their job, travel, have surgery, or participate in daily activities we have had the liberties to for centuries.

13. Should schools be required to notify parents of any sexually explicit content in books or instructional materials? Y* Parent approval and 18 and over section seems reasonable to me for books that contain graphics or language that a child’s brain, that science has confirmed, is not fully developed or capable of processing this kind of information. We must as parents and educators do all we can to preserve our children’s innocence.
