1. Should education funding be directed to families through a voucher, scholarship, or education savings account so that parents can send their children to the school of their choice, including non-public schools? U* If school property taxes are eliminated, then yes. If not then no, and my reason for this answer is what would happen to schools if everyone left for another school likewise what would happen to a school that gets overcrowded?
2. Should marijuana be legalized for recreational use? N* The residual effects of marijuana don't stop the minute you stop smoking it, so the user is impared for some time afterwards.
3. Should the Pennsylvania Human Relations Act be amended to include “sexual orientation” and “gender identity,” which would require public schools and other public facilities to open up restrooms and locker rooms to members of the opposite sex? N* Absolutely not, boys and girls should have a sense of private space provided them by a same sex only restrooms or locker rooms.
4. Should Pennsylvania enter into the Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative, which would include a new carbon tax on electricity producers? N
5. Should increases in state government spending be limited to the rate of inflation plus population growth? U* Personally, I don't think we should increasing spending. I believe we should be looking where there is wasteful spending and use that to control our budget.
6. Should our state constitution be amended to prevent taxpayer funding for elective abortions? Y
7. Should all voters be required to show identification before voting? Y* In this day and age where you need to show ID for everything from a six pack of beer to a Doctor's visit there is no excuse to not shoe ID to vote.
8. Should the state reduce police funding to increase funding for social services? N* Police are our first line of defense when dealing with people that have mental health issues. As an active EMT, I have been on many calls with these patients and have been very appreciative that the police were on scene.
9. Should public schools be prohibited from allowing males who identify as females to compete in girls’ sports? Y* Science says that males are naturally stronger than females, therefore they should be competing on a level playing field and also should not have to worry about losing a sports scholarship to a biological male.
10. Should schools have to post curriculum online for review by parents and taxpayers? Y* As long as the parents are paying the bill, they should have a say in their child's education.
