Question Response Comments/Notes
1. Should education funding be directed to families through a voucher, scholarship, or education savings account so that parents can send their children to the school of their choice, including non-public schools? N* Taxpayer money should NOT go to private schools because they are not held accountable by an elected school board.
2. Should marijuana be legalized for recreational use? Y* But only after taken off Schedule I and with restrictions around operating vehicles/heavy equipment.
3. Should the Pennsylvania Human Relations Act be amended to include “sexual orientation” and “gender identity,” which would require public schools and other public facilities to open up restrooms and locker rooms to members of the opposite sex? Y* Instead of requiring public schools and facilities to allow access for all to all restrooms and locker rooms, create "gender neutral" water closets.
4. Should Pennsylvania enter into the Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative, which would include a new carbon tax on electricity producers? U* PA should be finding ways to transition from fossil fuels to clean energy with the least impact on workers and responsibly closing depleted natural gas wells.
5. Should increases in state government spending be limited to the rate of inflation plus population growth? U* The PA Budget should reflect our priorities. Our Legislature should strive to eliminate wasteful spending and require transparency of every benefactor of taxpayer money.
6. Should our state constitution be amended to prevent taxpayer funding for elective abortions? N* Government needs to stay out of a medical decision that is between a woman, her family, her physician and her faith.
7. Should all voters be required to show identification before voting? U* PA polling places already accept many forms of ID and require ID when voting for the first time.
8. Should the state reduce police funding to increase funding for social services? N* The Commonwealth needs to stop requiring the police to do the tasks of a social worker and properly fund social services.
9. Should public schools be prohibited from allowing males who identify as females to compete in girls’ sports? Y* There should be a separate category for biological males who identify as female.
10. Should schools have to post curriculum online for review by parents and taxpayers? Y* Transparency is always a good thing BUT there should be a set procedure or process for parental and taxpayer input and the trained educational professionals should have the final say.
11. Should Pennsylvania municipalities be permitted to require a vaccine passport? N* Municipalities should NOT REQUIRE vaccine passports but should be allowed to incentivize a voluntary vaccine passport.
12. Should the gasoline tax be permanently reduced? N* BUT there needs to be more transparency about what it is actually being used for.
13. Should schools be required to notify parents of any sexually explicit content in books or instructional materials? U* "Sexually explicit content" should be clearly defined and different age groups should have different standards of what is appropriate.
