1. Should education funding be directed to families through a voucher, scholarship, or education savings account so that parents can send their children to the school of their choice, including non-public schools? Y* Absolutely. Parents need more choices for their child’s education especially with the state of many school districts.
2. Should marijuana be legalized for recreational use? U* Personally I’m not a proponent of the use on Marijuana but like alcohol and tobacco, I’m not against the recreational use as a taxable resource for PA.
3. Should the Pennsylvania Human Relations Act be amended to include “sexual orientation” and “gender identity,” which would require public schools and other public facilities to open up restrooms and locker rooms to members of the opposite sex? N* I’m am an opponent of this happening for several reasons, main reason the incident in Virginia. It will NOT happen here.
4. Should Pennsylvania enter into the Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative, which would include a new carbon tax on electricity producers? N* Placing a carbon tax on energy producers will be passed directly to the customers in rate hikes. Right now is definitely NOT the time for that to be a thought.
5. Should increases in state government spending be limited to the rate of inflation plus population growth? Y* Spending needs to be cut do to the extremely high rate of inflation as it is. Harrisburg should not have and open checkbook.
6. Should our state constitution be amended to prevent taxpayer funding for elective abortions? Y* Tax dollars are NOT to be used for any types of abortions in PA.
7. Should all voters be required to show identification before voting? Y* Everyone has the ability to get an ID no matter what on political party wants you to believe. You have to have ID to by alcohol and cigarettes, you should to vote as well.
8. Should the state reduce police funding to increase funding for social services? N* We need more Police funding throughout the state. Cuts can be made elsewhere for social services and I intend to find them.
9. Should public schools be prohibited from allowing males who identify as females to compete in girls’ sports? Y* People can identify how they wish, but when this issue comes up there is a clear disadvantage that shouldn’t be permitted.
10. Should schools have to post curriculum online for review by parents and taxpayers? Y* Absolutely. As a parent, I want to know exactly what my child is being taught in school.
11. Should Pennsylvania municipalities be permitted to require a vaccine passport? N* Absolutely NOT!
12. Should the gasoline tax be permanently reduced? Y* Without a doubt. In my opinion the structure for the increased rates should never have gone through.
13. Should schools be required to notify parents of any sexually explicit content in books or instructional materials? Y* Not every class is a “Health” class so sex does NOT belong in every class!!! PERIOD!
