1. Providing state tax credits and education savings accounts to enable parents to choose what school their child attends. U* There are good arguments on both sides. Our public schools need to be funded but parents in underperforming districts need to be able to explore all educational options for their children .
2. Reserving girls’ sports exclusively for biological females. S* I believe allowing biological males to participate in female sports is very unfair to the women athletes.
3. Separating restrooms, locker rooms, and other privacy areas based on biological sex. S* For the safety of all students ,male and female, restrooms and lockers need to be assigned by biological sex.
4. Permitting students to discuss their Christian faith with others during non-class time on school premises. S* I strongly believe all students have a constitutional right to discuss their faith with others in non class and after school times.
5. Allowing school personnel to refer students to abortion providers. O* I believe abortion is wrong and the school has no business supporting it.
6. Requiring signed permission (opt-in) from a parent before a student may participate in sex education classes or presentations on gender identity theory. S* Sex education and gender identity theory is for parents to lead with their children at their appropriate time. Parents should need to opt in to any school programs.
7. Increasing transparency by requiring videos or documents shown to students [which are not part of pre-approved curriculum] be preserved for easy review by administrator and parents S* All material taught in the classroom needs to be available to parents and administrators to prevent inappropriate material from being shown to our students
8. Providing curricula that advocates critical race theory and its emphasis on defining people as oppressors or oppressed based on group identity or privileges. O* I am against any type of CRT. We are all created equal by God and defining people by their race is always wrong.
9. Requiring teachers to use "she" to describe a biological male student who identifies as a female, even if the teacher offered a reasonable alternative. O* A teacher should not be reprimanded for calling a male”he” or a female “she”
10. Specifying in school policy that materials containing visual depictions of people engaging in sex acts or explicit written descriptions of people engaging in sex acts is not age-appropriate for the school’s curriculum and libraries. S* I believe strongly that school is never a place to expose our students to sexually explicit material.
