I live in East Nottingham Township,Pennsylvania. Oxford Area School District. My husband Larry and I have been married for 17 years. We were born and raised in Delaware County, and we moved to Nottingham in May of 2020 at the heart of the “Covid Pandemic.” We are a blended family. My husband has 3 adult children; we have 2 grown Special needs children, and custody of our 8 year old granddaughter. In the mid 90’s, I was the Campaign Manager for a candidate who won his bid for Commissioner in Aston Township . I was the Judge of election for the First Ward in Aston for 2 yrs. I have done door-to-door campaigning, and have worked both inside and outside the polls on election days. In fact, I also volunteered to work outside the polls in the last November 2022 election at the Presbyterian Church in Oxford Borough West. I am Conservative and my beliefs are in God, Family and Country. With these beliefs come family values, personal responsibility and helping my fellow man whenever possible. I believe critical thinking skills are just as important as a good education, and feel children are not being taught to think on their own these days. The areas I plan to focus on are: *making sure inappropriate books are not in our schools libraries and if they are, having them removed. I have identified several. *Ensuring parents and teachers are given the opportunity to have input in the curriculum. *We need to seek ways to improve current test scores and encourage children to enjoy their educational process. *Encourage open dialogue between the school district, the parents and the stakeholders. *Older stakeholders should not be burdened with losing their homes over taxes. I want to seek ways to hold the line on taxes. I believe a sound education based on critical thinking will ensure our children have a solid foundation for their future. Our children are the future which we must safeguard at all cost. We can and we must do better to secure their future and their children's future.

The current board members, although registered Republican, have elected to allow the Superintendant to sway their votes to reflect the current administration and the "woke" idiology. We have only two voting members who stand up against this political agenda. Politics and agendas, of any kind, DO NOT BELONG IN SCHOOL. Our children are being dumbed down with the SEL, CRT curriculum. Our test scores prove this. The COVID agenda, mandates, masks, "vaccines", and lockdowns have all damaged our kids mental acuity. The SEL, CRT cirriculum is robbing our kids of critical thinking skills. The administration, is mandating 'mental health' programs in the schools and embedding this idiology into the curriculum. They are endorsing these inititives as necessary due to the crippling of our education system during the "pandemic." Issues they and their agenda created! This has to stop. I am beholdent to no one. I think for myself. I am a mother and grandmother who has seen the systematic dumbing down of our kids and I want to ensure it stops and doesn't get implimented again.
