Stacy Garrity is a lifelong resident of Bradford County who has devoted her life to service to her community, our Commonwealth, and our nation. Stacy served our nation in uniform for 30 years as a member of the U.S. Army Reserve, rising to the rank of Colonel, and she was deployed to the Middle East three times as a part of Operational Desert Storm, Operation Iraqi Freedom, and Operation Enduring Freedom. At home, Stacy was a leader in Pennsylvania manufacturing, becoming one of just two female vice presidents at Global Tungsten & Powders - the largest smelter of tungsten in the western World. Now Stacy serves our Commonwealth as State Treasurer, where she is responsible for protecting $180 billion in state assets and returning millions in unclaimed property back to taxpayers each year. In addition to all her responsibilities on behalf of the people of Pennsylvania, Stacy also remains involved in her local community, where she serves on the board of the Bradford County United Way and as a trustee of the Guthrie Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre, PA.

For far too long, Pennsylvania has simply not reached our incredible potential and under Josh Shapiro things have only gotten worse. Today, Pennsylvania ranks 47th in the nation economically, while Pennsylvania families face the 5th highest tax burden in the nation. While we spend the 9th most nationally per student for education, 7 in 10 Pennsylvania 8th graders cannot read at grade level. And while Josh Shapiro talks about one bridge he fixed in Philadelphia, there are more than 3,000 structurally deficient bridges scattered across our Commonwealth. We can and we must do better, and we will. I know Pennsylvania has the hardest working people, we have been blessed with unparalleled natural resources, and we sit in the heart of American commerce. But it will take accountability, it will take leadership, and it will take putting Pennsylvania families and businesses first to turn our Commonwealth around - and I am running for Governor to provide that leadership for the 13 million Pennsylvanians who know we can lead again.
