Question Response Comments/Notes
1. Should all voters be required to show identification before voting? Y* Yes. Every voter should be required to verify their identity before casting a ballot, whether voting in person or by mail.
2. Should the Pennsylvania Human Relations Act be amended to include "sexual orientation" and "gender identity," which could require public schools and other public facilities to open up restrooms and locker rooms to members of the opposite sex? N* There are only two sexes, male and female.
3. Should marijuana be legalized and sold commercially for recreational use? N* Public policy should prioritize the health and safety of our children, roads, workplaces and communities - not projected tax revenue.
4. Should increases in state government spending be limited to the rate of inflation plus population growth? Y* This limit would encourage responsible budgeting, require government to prioritize essential services, and protect taxpayers from unsustainable spending and future tax increases. Any exception for a genuine emergency should be narrow, transparent, and approved by the Legislature.
5. Should Pennsylvania make cuts to the Educational Improvement Tax Credit (EITC) student scholarship program? N* The EITC program encourages businesses to support scholarships that help parents choose the educational setting that best meets their child’s needs. Pennsylvania should ensure transparency and accountability, but it should not cut scholarships or restrict educational opportunities. I support preserving and responsibly strengthening EITC, so a child’s options are not determined by family income or ZIP code.
